Find Cisco Systems VPN adapter. Right click on Cisco Systems VPN adapter and select enable. After doing this I was able to launch Cisco VPN client. I am using an earlier version. I hope that this works for you. Having been discontinued back in 2011, it shouldn’t come as a shock that the Cisco VPN client isn’t supported by Windows 10.In fact, you would be lucky to get it working with Windows 8.1 since.

After upgrading to W10, you will need to uninstall/reinstall all components. After this is done, if you get to the first login window and after entering your credentials you get an error that the VPN Client could not start/connect, the following steps should fix the issue:

• Open regedit
• Browse to the registry key HKLMSYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesCVirtA
• Select the display name to modify:
o x86 - '@oem8.ifn,%CVirtA_Desc%;Cisco Systems VPN Adapter' Change this to: 'Cisco Systems VPN Adapter'
o x64 - '@oem8.ifn,%CVirtA_Desc%;Cisco Systems VPN Adapter for 64-bit Windows' Change this to: 'Cisco Systems VPN Adapter for 64-bit Windows'
